I read Luke 15 early this morning, and especially noted verse 10–

There is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.

Of the things that bring joy to humanity (sports, elections, war victories, amazing feats), the fact is that none of them move heaven’s angels to rejoice. Then, think about the fact that supernatural celestial beings have an emotional response when one sinner repents. That should cause me to evaluate what brings me joy! Not only should it shape my evaluation, it should shape my efforts.

What brings heaven joy should my aim and goal on this earth. What moves heaven to rejoice should move me to action.
