I’ve read a number of biographies of the 18th century preacher George Whitefield (Dallimore’s being the best), as well as his Journals. Whenever I’ve read him or about him, I’ve always been challenged to do more for Christ, and to pray more urgently for God to use His Word in the souls of men as He did then.
