Missed a couple of days, sorry about that!
Today being Tuesday I had a Bible study at 6am in Middlefield. Got back home to get the troops up and moving for their day. We read Exodus 33 for family devotions, and for my time in the Word I read Phil 2-3; Exod 40; Prov 29; and John 19.
Exodus 40:38 says,
For throughout all their journeys, the cloud of the Lord was on the tabernacel by day, and there was fire in it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel.
That would have been neat to see. A more complete detail of how this worked out is in Numbers 9:15-23. The “glory cloud” would eventually depart (Ezek 10:18-19), but Isaiah prophesies its return (Isa 4:2-6).
Worked on Wednesday night Bible study. Emails and phone calls. Couple of blog posts. Ate dinner with the whole family (except Ashley, of course). Guided Meagan on removing the transmission drain pan of a 1997 Chevy Astro. Played a game of Life with Josiah. Ordered new glasses. Did some reading for seminary, some of the latest Answers magazine, the Connecticut Evangelical Magazine, and then hit the sack.
