Actually, these are pictures of the old meeting place of First Baptist Church, Galeton, PA.

What’s the significance of this old church building for me? One of the men who continues to have a great impact on my life and ministry is Robert T. Ketcham. Here in this building, February 16, 1910 Ketcham trusted Christ in response to the preaching of his pastor, Harry Tillis. Two years later, on the steps on which I sit in some of the pictures, Ketcham surrendered to the Lord’s call to preach.

Sadly, this building is now a movie theater! What was once a place for the proclamation of the good news of Jesus Christ now proclaims the “wisdom” of this world which is “earthly, natural, demonic” (James 3:15).

May the Lord use His churches to continue to preach the gospel and call and equip faithful men to preach His Word!
