I have greatly profited from reading various accounts of the gracious working of the Lord during a period known as the Second Great Awakening.

One work that I am currently working through and reproduce in serial form in our church’s weekly devotional booklet is New England Revivals, as They Existed at The Close of the Eighteenth, and the Beginning of the Nineteenth Centuries. It is a compilation of narratives from the Connecticut Evangelical Magazine, another treasure trove of accounts of the Lord’s working at that time.

I was recently asked for a link to New England Revivals and couldn’t find it right away. I know it’s out there, but decided instead of taking 10 minutes to search for it I’ll just write up a quick blog post in 5 minutes and make the book available here as a download!
