Wow, what a day.
First, we read Genesis 6 for family Bible time—God’s judgment in a world-wide flood, and God’s grace and mercy through the ark. One of the kids had the best insight—“Imagine being the only 8 people in the entire world!” Josiah’s remark: “That would be freaky.”
The morning and early afternoon was invested in making 50 copies of our gospel CD (burning and printing them), studying for Sunday morning, and a number of phone calls and emails about this weekend’s men’s retreat (I’m the assistant director).
Reviewed things for prayer meeting tonight. Later in the evening I went over my notes from a class I taught a couple of years ago on the Pentateuch, as I’ll be giving two abbreviated lessons on Exodus through Deuteronomy.
